- Disease prevention
- Parasite prevention
- Early diagnosis of age-related problems
- Rigorous, custom-designed treatment options
Annual diagnostic and laboratory tests for senior pets may include the following:
- Complete blood chemistry (CBC) panel and blood count
- Thyroid check
- Electrolyte check
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
Nutrition and Exercise
During each exam, we discuss the best nutritional and exercise plan for your pet based on age, health, lifestyle, and other considerations. Weight may need to be addressed, as some pets put on extra pounds with age and joint problems such as arthritis can occur.
Pain management is a top priority in senior pets. Pets often hide pain from their owners, and regular veterinary care is vital to keep them pain free. Our goal is a life without pain for all of our pets, and we offer a multimodal approach to achieve the best outcome. Our cutting edge companion laser therapy treatment is just one option available for a pain-free pet.
Our Senior Wellness Plans are customized for mature pets and designed to protect your pet’s quality of life. We work hard to help your pet stay healthy, vigorous, and comfortable in the aging process. Please contact us for an appointment or walk in for your pet’s senior wellness exam with Springbrook Animal Care Center today.
Our Rainwater Recovery Tank captures and stores up to 20,000 gallons of rainwater for use throughout the building.
We accept walk-ins during our Doctor’s Hours to meet your busy lifestyle. If you’d prefer to make an appointment, we offer those too!
