Barks and Bubbles: Pet Grooming at Springbrook Animal Care Center
Pet grooming is about more than just keeping your pet looking and smelling good. A well-groomed pet is less likely to suffer from dermatological health issues. It is also easier for your pet to regulate his or her body temperature if the coat is kept clean and free of mats and dreadlocks.
Pet Grooming At Home
While many pets love one-on-one time with you during grooming, others may not enjoy at-home grooming sessions. With either type of pet, it’s important to make pet grooming as enjoyable as possible for your four-legged friend.
Try rewarding a pet that is resistant to at-home grooming for any attempt at cooperation. Or play games as you groom to help your pet feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Grooming should be a fun experience for both you and your pet, and scolding your pet for not meeting your expectations will only make the situation worse.
A Day at the Spa
Grooming can prove to be quite a chore to accomplish on your own, especially if it’s been awhile since your pet’s been professionally groomed. At Springbrook Animal Care Center, we are happy to provide grooming services at our Bubbly Spa Grooming facility. In addition to bathing your pet, nail trims, and generally sprucing up your pet’s appearance, we also offer the following services:
You can also request special baths with medicated shampoos and conditioners to help alleviate skin or aroma issues. If your pet suffers from a skin condition, speak with one of our veterinarians before your pet’s grooming session to discuss the best grooming options for your pet.
Your pet’s trip to Bubbly Spa Grooming can fit easily into your normal routine. We offer extended evening and weekend hours to accommodate your busy schedule, and if your pet already attends our Doggie Day Care program, or is scheduled to board with us, you can make an appointment to have his or her grooming done at that time, instead of scheduling a separate appointment.
We accept walk-ins during our Doctor’s Hours to meet your busy lifestyle. If you’d prefer to make an appointment, we offer those too!
