Springbrook Animal Care Center: A Cat-Friendly Practice
Springbrook Animal Care Center is proud to have met the standards set by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and to have been awarded a Cat-Friendly designation. Our Cat-Friendly certification ensures you and your cat will have the very best veterinary experience possible. We work hard to take the stress out of a trip to the vet with your cat, and are focused on providing a calm and welcoming environment of health and wellness.
What to Expect from Our Cat Friendly Practice
We strive to remove the barriers that prevent our feline clients from receiving the vital wellness care and veterinary services they require to live a long and healthy life. We have taken into consideration all aspects of your cat’s veterinary visit, and implemented stress– and anxiety-lowering measures to produce the most positive experience possible. A few of our cat-friendly aspects include:
A separate cat entrance, and waiting area that helps reduce the stress associated with noise, other pets, or unfamiliar smells.
Dedicated feline-only examination rooms that provide a safe, calm, and non-threatening atmosphere.
Cat behavior sensitivity training
Our staff receives advanced training to recognize feline-specific facial and behavior cues.
Techniques ensure your cat feels secure and comfortable which facilitates a more positive experience.
Cat fear and anxiety training
Able to recognize early signs of fear or anxiety and meet your cat’s needs appropriately.
